Mount Alban commands a fine view of the Mediterranean coast: to the east are Cap Ferrat, Cap d'Ail, the Pointe de Bodighera and the limestone heights of Tête de Chien; to the west lie Nice's Bay of Angels and Garoupe. The 16C fortress bristling with turrets and arrow slits was commissioned by Philibert, Duke of Savoie. Open to the public.
