Antonine Baths
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

Considered among the most sumptuous baths in the Roman Empire, the Antonine Baths comprise some of the most impressive ruins of Ancient Carthage. Built in the mid-2C AD, they were part of a monumental complex, which a model attempts to illustrate. The site is now part of an archaeological park covering several hectares, which visitors can explore by following the old streets of the town. The site is also home to the ruins of villas and basilicas, some of which have retained fragments of ancient mosaics.
