Useful information

Description

The majority of remains from the old villas in this residential district of Roman Carthage are mosaics and sculptures, many of which are displayed in the Villa of the Aviary, which has now been converted into a museum. Built on the Odeon hill, the site enjoys extensive views of the Gulf of Tunis and the city. Every summer, the Carthage International Festival is held in the old Roman theatre, which has undergone significant restoration and is located in the lower section of the archaeological site.
